Caroline Hutchings, an ex-Nollywood actress, believes that couples should only use social media to discuss their business when the situation becomes dire. The entrepreneur outlined the expectations of couples who have chosen to spend their lives together in a lengthy statement she uploaded on her Instagram page.

A marriage, according to Hutchings, is a union of two individuals in love who must understand that they are both extremely different despite their love. She went on to preach tolerance, forgiveness, and sacrifice, as well as the importance of couples keeping each other's secrets.

The former actress went on to say that everyone makes errors and eventually learns from them and that the only time couples should go public with their business is if it involves severe emotional abuse or domestic violence.

The sacred institution of marriage, according to Hutchings, must be respected. She advised couples to seek counselling if necessary but to stay away from social media.

"You court to know if you are compatible. It is not all about S*x and good times .. you must be ready for terrible times too. I pray every union going through troubles receives the grace and love of Christ. Let there be healing and songs of thanksgiving in your homes, may the Lord help you to forgive and love again."
