Rema reveals release date for new album

Rema has finally announced the release date for his long-awaited album. This coincides with the release of Calm Down, his most recent single. A fast-paced song in which he exposes his powerless romantic impulses and fixation with a certain love interest.

The song's timing could not be more impeccable. If there's ever a good moment to release a promotional single, it's now, and it has to be a love song in time for the popular Valentine's Day season.

The artwork for his next album Rave & Roses is featured on the tune. In the song visualiser, however, two beings appear in a moving train. One is a large brown teddy bear with a melancholy expression, holding a blazing rose and suffering from arrow wounds.
A shocked girl in a yellow dress and white shoes is the other. While this may just be another one-of-a-kind animated montage to promote Rema's new album, it's worth noting that the song visualiser for Calm Down is heavily influenced by Disney's 1991 feature picture Beauty and the Beast.

Calm Down is focused on the joy of finding love, the pursuit of a love interest, and addressing the flip side of unreciprocated feelings and disappointment in the beginning, according to Culturecustodian.

Calm down has earned a positive response since its midnight release, and it has been trending on Twitter for the past few hours, as well as making headlines. Omah Lay, a colleague in the industry who is also preparing to release his debut album this year, was among those who praised Rema on Twitter, writing,

"Rema be going all out every now and then, that calm down song slaps!!"
